In THALAS we tried a different approach to VR games with a focus on longer play times and a concept which enables expansion and implementation of additional interactive elements further down the road. We tried to create an environment which uses all axes of three-dimensional space. Visually I concetrated on a moving background of cloudscapes and fog to create depth and shifting shapes, making the environment dynamically both open and concealed. This keeps users watching and searching their surroundings while avoiding the need for complex custom objects to create an interesting setting.

THALAS is strategy VR-game set in the outer sphere of a gas planet. Reactivate and manage a deserted harvesting complex and steer your drones to resources and distant stations within this vast area.
