VR:SPORTS is an experimental VR game, which explores the application of virtual reality for sports. In this project I researched the problems, benefits and possibilities of virtual reality sports games. I created an interactive environment which requires and motivates a lot of strong and varying movement by the user.
In this game, the entire tracking space is used in all directions. Spheres can be launched through space to hit targets outside the space. Like a mixture of a squash ball and a boomerang, they return in different angles and gain speed the more targets you're hitting. This makes the game fast paced and very rewarding once players get into the flow.
